Dinner is sorted with this paleo Chilli Salt Scotch Fillet w Chimichurri

Animal meat is often associated with increased risk of cancer, cardiovascular disease and poor health. However not all meat is created equally.
Animal meat can either be grain fed or grass fed. Inflammatory meat that is harmful to our health is grain-fed. This is because animals are not designed to eat grains and thus it makes their health suffer and their meat poorer quality.
Grass-fed animals on the other hand produce meat that is rich in omega-3 fatty acids. Grass-fed beef actually has more omega-3 fatty acids than the heart healthy fish. Omega 3 fatty acids are anti-inflammatory fats that are essential for optimal brain and heart health.

Chilli Salt Scotch Fillet w Chimichurri

Serves 4


4 x grass-fed scotch fillets
tsp ghee
3 garlic cloves (minced)
tsp oregano 
½ tsp chilli flakes 
tbs coconut oil
Sea salt 


½ bunch fresh coriander
½ bunch fresh parsley 
3-5 mint leaves
1 green chilli
tbs olive oil
tbs red wine vinegar
Sea salt 
Black pepper



• In a pestle and mortar or mixing bowl combines the garlic, chilli flakes, oregano and coconut oil
• Once combined massage the rub into the steak, season and set aside
• Heat the ghee on a high heat on a fry pan
• Add the steaks (perhaps do two at a time or heat two pans)
• Cook for 3 minutes on each side for rare
• Remove from the heat and allow to rest for 2-3 mins
• Meanwhile throw all the ingredients for the chimmichurri into a blender or food processor
• Blitz for 20 secs or until combined
• Remove from the bowl and serve with the steak
